Meet The Therapist Behind Mindful Living
Amanda is a New York State licensed psychotherapist with an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Iona University. She is the owner of Mindful Living Counseling & Consulting, LLC in Westchester County, New York. Amanda specializes in trauma and EMDR, with a focus on intergenerational trauma. She works on guiding individuals through life's transitions and challenges to help them feel their best.

Amanda has experience in working with adolescents and adults in both acute and non-acute settings. Prior to her work in the private sector, she spent years dedicated to service at community-based agencies, working with underserved youth and individuals involved in the criminal justice system. She is a trained EMDR therapist through the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and has used this modality to help individuals with acute, chronic, and complex trauma, as well as anxiety disorders and substance use issues.
Amanda prides herself on having an eclectic view of psychology; drawing on ideas from various schools of thought. She mainly integrates psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive techniques to tailor treatment to a person's individual needs. Amanda most enjoys working in private practice because it allows her the flexibility to work 1:1 with individuals in a paced environment and witness their personal growth and healing.
